Timeline is now more powerful than ever, offering a real-time, multi-platform visualization of how stories spread, gain traction, and evolve across the internet. With the integration of Reddit and Instagram alongside X and upcoming support for Facebook and TikTok, Timeline provides an unparalleled view of how conversations shift and develop.
Whether tracking a breaking news event, analyzing narrative evolution, or managing a live crisis, Timeline gives you a God’s eye view of the full story as it unfolds.
What are the benefits?
Track stories as they move across platforms - Follow how discussions shift from an X post to a Reddit thread to an Instagram comment section. See where narratives take hold, how engagement grows, and which platforms sustain discussions the longest.
Respond faster in a live crisis - See where a story first breaks, how it moves across platforms, and when engagement peaks. Gain a God’s eye view of the full story as it unfolds and act before an issue escalates.
Analyze how stories develop over time - Understand which platforms amplified key moments, how audiences interacted, and how long the conversation lasted. Widen the lens to capture the complete narrative and benchmark performance across networks.
Monitor stories across the entire media ecosystem - With Instagram, Reddit, and X now live, and Facebook and TikTok coming soon, users will gain an even more complete real-time view of how stories evolve across platforms.
How does it work?
Instagram and Reddit are now available in the Timeline widget for all users. Enable them through the Add Networks button in the widget settings. This panel also lets you disable public and media interest charts if needed and provides options for social posts to display interactions only, compare with previous periods, or chart interactions against post count.
All social networks function like other graphs in Timeline and are displayed under public interest by default. They adjust to your selected time range, showing data at hourly or daily intervals. Click any data point to view the top posts for that period in the right-hand sidebar, giving you instant context on key engagement moments.
All social network visualizations are separate from their respective feed widgets, but all can be added to the same dashboard for complementary insights. Visualizations can also be exported directly from the Timeline widget or included as an ‘interest over time’ slide in the Report Builder.
