X joins Timeline - visualize the world’s fastest-moving platform

Today, we’re announcing the addition of X as the first social platform integrated into Timeline. This enhancement marks the beginning of a new era for Timeline, bringing a social-first perspective to your monitoring and analysis.

What are the benefits?

Real-time precision - Track X’s unparalleled speed to act quickly on developing trends. Pinpoint when a story gains momentum, identify key contributors, and visualize spikes in real time to respond effectively to opportunities or risks.

Story evolution mapping - Understand how stories move from individual tweets to broader engagement. Timeline highlights where stories resonate most, giving you the context needed for confident, data-driven decisions.

Multi-platform readiness - This integration is your first step toward analyzing the flow of stories across platforms like Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, and Facebook, as well as media articles. Uncover story lifecycles, benchmark performance, and refine strategies as narratives evolve.

How does it work?

X is now available in the Timeline widget for all users. Enable it through the Add Networks button in the widget settings. This panel also lets you disable public and media interest charts if needed and provides options for social posts to display interactions only, compare with previous periods, or chart interactions against post count.

The X network functions like other graphs in Timeline and is displayed under public interest by default. It adjusts to your selected time range, showing data at hourly or daily intervals. Click any data point to view the top tweets for that period in the right-hand sidebar, giving you instant context on key engagement moments.

The X visualization is separate from the X feed widget, but both can be added to the same dashboard for complementary insights. Visualizations can also be exported directly from the Timeline widget or included as an ‘interest over time’ slide in the Report Builder.

The integration of X into Timeline provides a real-time view of how stories unfold on the world’s fastest-moving platform. From viral tweets to high-profile discussions, this feature helps you track the trajectory of narratives as they emerge, gain traction, and shape public discourse. Whether monitoring breaking news or navigating a potential crisis, you’ll have immediate insights into how conversations on X influence the wider narrative. But this is just the beginning.
