NewsWhip is excited to announce a significant update to our Search feature, launching on January 24th, 2024. This update focuses on enhancing functionality, making it quicker and more efficient for users to construct and derive value from Searches within Spike. The improvements are driven by user feedback and are designed to streamline the search construction process, offering a more intuitive and less cluttered interface.
What are the changes?
- Tabbed Network-Specific Sources: Sources are now presented in tabs, segregated by network, for a clearer and more visually appealing layout.
- Expanded Source Suggestions: The list of default source suggestions increases to 10, with the option to expand to 20.
- Multi-Selection of Sources: Users can now select or deselect multiple source suggestions simultaneously, simplifying the process of constructing searches involving multiple sources.
Questions and answers
Q: Does this change anything with the Boolean search builder?
No, users can still build their Boolean searches in the keyword field. The enhanced interface simply replaces the previous interface when adding an additional keyword or sources.
Q: Will my existing searches be automatically updated?
Yes, if you go to edit or change an existing search you will see the new enhanced search interface with your chosen keywords or sources.
