Sharing from NewsWhip

There are a number of ways to share articles or posts of interest from within NewsWhip Spike, including copying to clipboard, sharing via email, or sharing via social.

Copy link 

To copy an article's URL, hover your cursor over the article, click on the three dots that appear in the corner of the article you wish to share and select the ‘copy link’ option. You can then share the link wherever you wish to share it by pasting it.

Copy to clipboard 

You can easily copy widget, article, and post details to your clipboard so you can quickly share formatted text in any email, document, or instant message. You can see it in action in the video below.

Copy to clipboard can be used for an entire feed widget or leaderboard, a specific article/post/entry on the widget, or in your bookmarks.

Articles, Posts, and Leaderboard entries

To copy article, post, or leaderboard entry details such as headline, summary, and interaction data to your clipboard, hover your cursor over the article/post/entry, click on the three dots that appear in the corner of the article/post you wish to share and select the ‘Copy to clipboard’ option. You can then paste formatted text into any document, email, or messaging client.

Widget top 10

To copy the top 10 articles, posts, or leaderboard entries to your clipboard, click on the three dots in the top-right corner of the widget you wish to share and select the ‘Copy to clipboard’ option. This will copy the top 10 items in your widget using your selected sorting method. You can then paste formatted text with this top 10 into any document, email, or messaging client.

Share via Slack

To share via Slack, click on the three dots in the top-right corner of the article you wish to share, hover over ‘share article’ and select the ‘Slack’ option.

This will allow you to share the article or post into a Slack Channel. If you have not already set up Slack channels to share from NewsWhip, you will be able to do that here.

Share via email

To share via email, click on the three dots in the top-right corner of the article or post you wish to share, hover over ‘share article’ and select the Email option. 

This will allow you to share the article via your default email app.

Share via social

You can also share articles via social media, with the choice of Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn. Once again, hover over ‘share article’ and select your network of choice.

This will open a post with pre-populated text in a new window which you can then edit as needed.

Sharing dashboards

It's possible to share dashboard with other team members in Spike. This can be done with dashboard sending.
